1 Introductions, apologies and substitutions
The Chair welcomed Members and the Public to the meeting. Apologies were received from Suzy Davies, there was no substitute.
2 Children's Commissioner's Annual Report
Members questioned the Children's Commissioner's on his Annual Report. The Commissioner agreed to provide a note on the following:
Administrative costs and accounting procedures within the office over the past two years;
Specific details on the process of the Childs Rights Impact Assessments and
Further details on the Commissioner’s work into access for disabled children and young people in mainstream education, pupil referral unit and short breaks.
The Commissioner agreed to provide the Committee with a briefing on provision of CAMHS services.
The Committee agreed to write to the Commissioner with further questions.
3 Education (Wales) Bill - Stage 1 - Consideration of key issues
The Committee discussed the key issues paper. A draft report would be considered at the next meeting.
